Shrove Tuesday || Pancake Tower Galore

IT'S PANCAKE DAY - only one of the best days of the year. I mean, who doesn't love an excuse to stuff their faces full of pancakes dripping with maple syrup? Not me that's for sure! As a family we always used to make the crepe pancakes (really thin) from scratch (of course) but a couple of months ago that all changed when I came across an American pancake recipe. Now when it comes to American pancakes, I'm not really that big of a fan but these homemade ones are incredible - especially after being doused in lashings of maple syrup and banana - it creates a mouth sensation!

The recipe which I love is Nigella's: American Breakfast Pancakes - with the key being to be generous with the baking powder as this is the bit which makes it nice a thick. It's a pretty simple recipe to follow which is always a bonus and creates great results. My all-time favourite toppings are:  Banana and Nutella   and  Maple Syrup and Banana but you can put anything you fancy on really (within reason) or could even stick to the old classic of lemon and sugar! You can also be as fun as you like and could even create a mini tower just like I did! There are some seriously good looking pancake stacks over there like this one here and I think you'll agree, major #YUM at the Oreo one.

What is your favourite pancake recipe and topping? Let me know in the comments below and
Happy Pancake Making (and of course eating)! :)

Love,
Harriet xo
